Frank E. Dierking, 92; Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for Frank E. Dierking, 92, Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at  St. Augustine Catholic Church Jeffersonville, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Jeffersonville.  He died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at his home.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1693 and American Legion Post 35. He was a Navy World War II Veteran. He was a welder at Jeff Boat for 46 years and was a native of Clarksville.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. Dierking; sons, Michael E. Dierking, Sellersburg, David A. Dierking, Lake Orion, Mich., and Dennis P. Dierking, Jeffersonville; daughters, Barbara J. McDowell, Indianapolis, and Diane M. Dierking, Jeffersonville; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Dierking; mother Lorena M. Dierking; brothers, Carl Dierking and Morris Dierking; and sisters, Mary Cramner, and Lorena Leppert.  

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Alzheimer’s Association and Providence High School.
