> SOUTHERN INDIANA — The New Albany YMCA is presently having its Annual Giving Campaign. Strengthening community is the YMCA’s cause, and it fosters the care and respect that all people need and deserve. The “Y” strives to build stronger, more inclusive communities, provides support for families and promotes positive change overall.

Financial assistance keeps the “Y” available to kids and families who need it most. The “Y” counts on the generosity of its members and community to help people of all ages and walks of life to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.

Did you know that the YMCA has been listening and responding to communities most critical needs for 160 years. The “Y’s” mission is: “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body.”

With this unique mission, the “Y” brings families closer together, encourages good health, and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests.

In my opinion, the YMCA is one of the most beneficial resources overall that Floyd County has been involved in for many decades. It is an outstanding resource that strengthens our community in many ways!
