Morris H. Crawford

91; Clarksville

Funeral services for Morris H. Crawford, 91, Clarksville, will be at noon Friday, Aug. 30, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with full military honors. Private burial will be held in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Providence Retirement Home.

 He was born Jan. 18, 1922 in Frankfort, Ky. to his late parents, Tink and Emma Brumbach Crawford.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired as a general foreman with B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. in Louisville after more than 36 years. He was a member of New Albany Lodge 39 F&AM and DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church.  

Survivors include his children, Jack Crawford and his wife, Belinda, Santa Clarita, Calif., Donna Hammonds, Fayetteville, Ga., Gerald Crawford and his wife, Wandee, Mae Sai, Thailand, and Sandra Perkins and her husband, Richard,    Gilbert, Ariz.; grandsons, Jason Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Joshua Hammonds, and Charlie Crawford; and granddaughter,Lucy Crawford,   

He was preceded in death this past February by his wife of 68 years, Lucille E. Crawford and two grandsons, Samuel Perkins and Justin Hammonds.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
