— Funeral services for Jennifer Lynn Martin, 39 of Indianapolis, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at her home, surrounded by loving family and friends.

She fought a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with bile duct cancer. She was born Nov. 7, 1973. She was a 1992 graduate of Clarksville High School where she was salutatorian of her class. She also graduated cum laude from Franklin College with a bachelors degree in accounting. She was a member of Tri Delta Sorority and Student Foundation. Her career as a CPA began at the Indianapolis firm of Dewitt and Shrader and she later started her own accounting company, JLM Consulting. She loved meeting new people and international travel, beginning with a semester at Harlaxton College in England; later enjoying trips to Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and Peru. She especially enjoyed taking trips with family and friends. She became part of the “green” movement during college and committed to an earth-friendly lifestyle that included co-op gardening with her neighbors. She had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed. She was an active servant-leader in her community through Rotary International. She also was a supporter of pet advocacy groups and was the devoted owner of three rescued cats.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, William R. “Bob” and Julia Holst Martin; aunts and uncles, Nancy and David Martin, John Holst; cousins, Wendy Martin, Kelly Hawkins and her husband, Mike, Mark, Kyle, Megan, and Klara Holst; and special friend, Sam Watson.

Special Thanks to Dr. Dan Milton and staff of H.O.I. and St. Vincent Hospice for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial gifts in Jennifer’s memory to Cat’s Haven of Indianapolis or Rotary International.
