Norman Lee Mukes Jr., 57; of New Albany

Funeral services for Norman Lee Mukes Jr. 57,  of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Bethel A.M.E. Church, New Albany, with burial in West Haven Cemetery, New Albany. He came to the end of his life’s journey on Monday, July 1, 2013. 

 He was employed at Coca Cola Company, Inc., in Louisville. He was born on Dec. 3, 1955, in New Albany, to the late Norman L. Sr. and Helen Johnson Mukes. He joins his parents and other relatives and friends who have gone before.

Survivors include his five sisters and their families, Francesca Armmer, Sharon Barnes and her husband, Ronald, Vera Comer, Sandra Harper and her husband, Kerry, and Gwen Kim and her husband, Jong; and nieces and nephews, Mavis Armmer, Leah Barnes, Wesley and Matthew Comer, Sydney and Lindsey Harper, and Stephanie Kim. A host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends will also mourn the passing of this special man. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with a sharing of stories from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
