A funeral Mass for Mary Ann Garry Prestigiacomo, 47, of Charlestown, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Sunday, July 7, 2013.
She was a 1984 graduate of Providence High School, received a B.A. from Indiana University in 1988 and Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 1993. She was a practicing attorney from 1993 through 2011 and was currently the Controller for the City of New Albany. She loved to fish, was an avid gardener and an incredible cook, but most of all, she loved spending time with her husband and sons.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph G. Prestigiacomo; sons, Joseph Cooper Prestigiacomo, and Justin Lane Prestigiacomo; mother, Kay Cooper Garry; brother, John R. Garry III and his wife, Lisa; father-in-law, Joseph L. Prestigiacomo and his wife, Gayle; sisters-in-law, Pam Pendleton, Kelli Neafus and her husband, Billy, and Ramona Prestigiacomo; and nieces and nephews, Sean Garry, Burke Pendleton, Tyler, McKenzie, John and Kelly Neafus, and Kaitlin and Alex Prestigiacomo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Garry, and mother-in-law, Ramona Thompson.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany.
