John Allan Blois

69; of Floyds Knobs

—  Funeral services for John Allan Blois, 69, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Scott Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

   He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a retired teacher from Jeffersonville High School and a member of Southeast Christian Church, the NRA, Silver Creek Conservation Club, SAE fraternity and the Train Collector’s Association.   

   He leaves behind his loving wife of 25 years, Rita Blois, of Floyds Knobs,; four sons, Brad Blois and his wife Kristi, of Louisville, Brandon Blois, of Louisville, Robert Stewart and his wife Nanda, of San Antonio, and Scott Stewart and his wife Heather, of Floyds Knobs; a brother, Ronnie Blois and his wife Barbara, of Coral Springs, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Rachel, Marianne, Lucas, Sophia, William, Daniel, Chloe, Kaitlyn and Jacob; and one great grandson, Maverick. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 Monday and from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

  Memorial contributions can be made to L.A.D.O. Ministries (Latin America Discipleship Outreach) or Focus on the Family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
