Bertha J. ‘Bertie’ (Jones) Butler 88; of New Albany

Funeral services for Bertha J. “Bertie” (Jones) Butler, 88, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

She was a native of Danville, Va., and a homemaker. She was a member of DePauw United Methodist Church in New Albany and was a resident at Lincoln Hills Health Care.

Survivors include her son, Stanley M. “Stan” Butler and his wife, Debbie, of New Albany; a daughter, Rhoda Cole, of Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A. Butler and her son, Thomas P. “Tip” Butler.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
