Violet Mae Leibert Best

93; of Laconia

— Funeral services for Violet Mae Leibert Best, 93, of Laconia, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Rehoboth Cemetery, Laconia. She died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.

 She was born July 5, 1919 in Laconia, the daughter of Harvey and Ida Cotner Leibert. She was a homemaker, a member of the Laconia Homemakers Club, and a member of Smith Campground United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Paul Alan Best and his wife, Jean, of Floyds Knobs; daughter, Cathy Carlene Best Snider and her husband, Dale, of Lanesville; sister-in-law, Edith Leibert; two grandchildren, Jennifer Graft and her husband, Greg, and Mark A. Best; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Taylor Best, four brothers, Arthur, Larsten, Roy, and Denzil Leibert, and two sisters, Jacie Luther and Elsie Hornickel.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Smith Campground UM Church or Rehoboth Cemetery Fund.
