James Fillmore Johnson, 77; of Otisco


> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Funeral services for James Fillmore Johnson, 77, of Otisco, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at First Baptist Church in Charlestown, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. He died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, in Tampa, Fla.

He was born July 23, 1935, in Webster, Ky., to Otis and Gladys Norton Johnson. He was a Navy veteran and retired employee of Owens Illinois. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Charlestown, past president of the Marysville-Otisco-Nabb Water Corp., and past president of the Gideon East Camp. 

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, the former Norma J. Coulter; his children, Mark Johnson and his wife, LaDonna, Marsha Hensley and her husband, Randy, and Marketta Elliot; grandchildren, Melissa Fleenor and her husband, Brad, Janel Wilkins and her husband, Billy, Amber Jackson and her husband, Chad, Britni Johnson and Baxter Ellis; eight great grandchildren; and sisters, Jean Copeland, Rita Colvin, Mae Vetter and Carolyn Owens. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice and Elizabeth; brothers, Charles and Billy; and son-in-law Jeff Elliott. 

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
