Douglas K. Waggoner

90; of Sellersburg

Funeral services for Douglas K. Waggoner, 90, of Sellersburg, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg. He died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

 He served his county in the United States Navy, was a Crane Operator for the Corps of Engineers, oldest member of the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg and an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Waggoner; daughter, Debbie Marr and her husband, Mark, of Charlestown; stepsons, Pete Popham and his wife, Deborah, of Evansville, Norwood Popham, of Kennesaw, Ga., and Reed Popham and his wife, Andrea, of Tennessee; brother, Joe Bates, of Sellersburg; sister, Virginia Long and her husband, Frank, of Sellersburg; grandchildren, Carrie Klaus and her husband, Rob, of Sellersburg, and Trae Marr, of Charlestown; several step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Mairin Klaus and Stella Klaus,

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Hector Waggoner and Gertrude Bates, his first wife, Patsy Waggoner, and many loved brothers and sisters.

 Visitation will be  from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
