Rev. Don Darrell Haug

74; of Lanesville

— Funeral services for Rev. Don Darrell Haug, 74, of Lanesville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany, with burial in Lanesville Protestant Cemetery. He died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in Clarksville.

He was born Sept. 23, 1938 in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of George W. and Vera Tabbert Haug. He was a minister of the gospel for 45 years in the Lutheran Ministry serving the deaf and hearing impaired congregations as well as camp ministry and hospital and chaplaincy. He also volunteered as a chaplain in the Texas Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Goulet-Haug of Canada; four daughters, Sabrina Haug, of Lanesville, Spring Harris and her husband, Tom, of Floyds Knobs,  Lara Lieber and her husband, Rob, of Lanesville, and Holly Bernardi and her husband, Gary, of Leavenworth; and their mother, Donata Haug Owsley, of New Albany; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step great- grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 27,  at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.

The family suggests memorial gift be made to either Lutheran Bible Translators, Lutheran Hour Ministries or to Lutheran World Relief.
