Eva Jean (McLean) Tegart, 59; formerly of New Albany


— Funeral services for Eva Jean (McLean) Tegart, 59, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Charlestown Road Chapel of Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at her home in Summerville, S.C.

The daughter of the late J.W. and Fern (Smith) McLean, Eva was born Aug. 30, 1953, in New Albany. She was a Christian, devoted grandmother and an avid gardener.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James P. Tegart; sons, Mark A. Tegart and his wife, Carrie, and Scott A. Tegart; grandchildren, Adelie and C.J. Tegart; and brothers, Jerry McLean and his wife, MaryAnn, and Tony McLean and his wife, Karen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John McLean. 

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
