Dale Kent Fouts, 86; of New Albany

Funeral services for Dale Kent Fouts, 86, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with interment in Blue River Chapel Cemetery, near Corydon. He died at his home. 

He was a native of Byrneville. He was a retired New Albany City Police Officer, and was a member of the Jefferson Lodge 99 of the F. & A. M., V.F.W. Hobart Bart Beach Post 1693 and the F.O.P. Lee Deich Lodge 99.

  Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dunn Fouts; sons, David Fouts and his wife, Lisa, of Louisville, and Eddie Hall, of Seymour; daughter, Debra Carmen and her husband, Tim, of Lanesville; sisters, Audrey Huelson, of Clarksville, and Ruby Burress, of New Albany; daughter-in-law, Barbara Hall; grandchildren, Bobby Hall, Jennifer  Weinhorst, Jason Hardsaw, Joseph Hardsaw, Kristi Fouts, and Courtney Fouts; and great-grandchildren, Carter Hardsaw, Whitney Weinhorst, and Lane Weinhorst.

 He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Hall, brother, Forrest “Bub” Fouts, and sisters, Virginia Gumm and Mary Rodewig.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 28, 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
