The Clark County Ohio River Sweep will be held Saturday, June 15.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up areas along the Ohio River and Silver Creek. Check in stations will open at 8:30 a.m. and be at the following locations: Falls of the Ohio State Park, Ashland Park, Lapping Park and Charlestown State Park. Gloves, trash bags, bottled water, a free ORSANCO T-shirt, and free admission to the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center will be given to all participants. The event ends at 11:30. Scouts, clubs, civic groups, church groups, families and individuals are encouraged to participate.

For more information or to fill out registration forms in advance to speed up check-in process, call Carol Huff at the Clarksville Stormwater Department at 812-283-8233 ext. 103.

New this year, the Clarksville Police Department is having a pharmaceutical drop off at the Ashland Park location. It's a great opportunity to dispose of your medicines properly and help the environment.
