NEWS AND TRIBUNE LETTER — For March 30-31

Reader offers condolences to teen’s family

I remember Tara Willenborg coming St. Luke’s nursery when I worked there a few years ago. She was a very sweet, precious girl.

I wanted to let you know that I was beaten, raped and a knife held to my throat when I was a very innocent 14-year-old. The monster was convicted and sent to prison. I can tell you through this experience that your body goes into a Godly protective shock, and you really don’t feel any physical pain. I felt my mind went into an out of body experience and was just watching it happen from above.

I don’t think people understand this unless they have been through a horrific experience. I hope this helps the family and friends and am so sorry for your loss.
