If you’re just reading this Sunday night, I’ll be posted up on my couch, watching my Houston Astros open the season at home against the Texas Rangers in Houston’s first game as an American League club.
And Monday, I’ll be taking the day off to watch as many games as I can.
Play ball are two fine words.

... to the News and Tribune for your excellent and ongoing coverage of the March 2, 2012, tornadoes.
Your photographs and articles have been outstanding as you followed the story throughout the first year, from the moment of the traumatic event, through the ongoing recovery, to the first year anniversary. Kudos to your staff.
Interviews with survivors, volunteers and helping organizations were informative, respectful and thoughtful and contribute a valuable witness to the impact of this event to the whole community. The News and Tribune provides an exemplary example of how a community-minded news source can contribute positively during a disaster.
