... to the Sellersburg Water Company for doing the right thing by removing the $55 administrative fee from the bills of former Riverside Water Co. customers.
They are making the new merger a happier union and warmer welcome to all the Riverside Water customers.

... to News and Tribune Editor Shea Van Hoy for bringing to light, in his editorial, some of the problems area reporters are having in their attempt to inform the county taxpayers.
If not for freedom of the press and investigative journalism, we the people would be in the dark on many issues. I applaud your efforts.

... to mail problems.
Do you live on “the wrong side of the street?” Well, apparently I do, and so do many others.
While waiting in the line at the post office, imagine my surprise a lady in front of me waiting to do the same thing I was — to complain to someone working there about not getting our mail. (She turned out to be my neighbor)
If we even get our mail, it’s late ... really late. Some days we get our mail, sometimes not. When we get our mail, we have two days worth of newspapers to read, old news.
My neighbor on the other side of the street gets their mail every day, hours earlier than we do. Does someone know who to contact that will care about resolving this unfair problem?
Our post office doesn’t, so how do we contact the next up in line? Will a petition signing help?
From the other side of the street ...

... to the Clarksville “Gang of 4” and particularly Bob Polston.
When the four new councilmen were elected, they agreed that each would serve one term as president of the council. This worked, as agreed upon, during the first two years with John Gilkey as president and then Polston being elected by unanimous vote.
Mr. Polston broke his word on favoring district voting and having a town manager, and now reverses himself and votes himself in as president. Does he ever keep his word?
Shame on you, Mr. Polston and your cohorts — Bob Popp, Don Tetley and Paul Kraft.
— Teresa Ballew, Clarksville
