... to New Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan.

We love our new park. The Hoosier Panel project is a welcome investment that will greatly increase the quality of life, the real estate values and the potential for the Fairmont neighborhood to strive.

The community recreation building rises taller every day on the 15-acre site that will soon host soccer and football fields as well as a great walking path. It was great to chat with Mayor Gahan as we admired the swift progress of his visionary project.

His support and interest in turning a light industrial eyesore into a park promoting health and recreation is worthy of a big cheers. The neighborhood thanks you.

... to a great performance.

Floyd Central High School was a presence to be reckoned with in Indianapolis on Saturday, as orchestra, band and choir all competed at state ISSMA finals.

Congratulations to all for making it there — Southern Indiana schools are few and far between at the competition. Orchestra came in 4th; choir 10th; and band 14th.

... to the day of prayer event.

It was a beautiful — and touching — scene recently outside the New Albany City-County Building. It was the National Day of Prayer and more than 200 people gathered to pray for our community as they linked up with others in cities and towns across America.

A special thanks to Mayor Jeff Gahan and The Salvation Army for hosting the event. Our city made an important statement: Christ is very much present in New Albany.
