Gerald “Jerry” Ray Annis, 71; Henryville

— A memorial service for Gerald “Jerry” Ray Annis, 71, Henryville, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Charlestown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He died Wednesday May 14, 2014 at his home.

He was born in New Washington, Nov. 9, 1942 to Ray and Geraldine Annis.  He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in December 1965 and was an elder of the Charlestown Congregation. He worked at Colgate for 26 years and spent the rest of his working life in wholesale and retail auto parts.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy Boyd Annis, three daughters, Jennifer Dowhower and her husband, Rob, Melissa Cunningham and her husband, Chris, and Amy Miller and her husband, Jason; and two granddaughters, Baylee and Greta who were the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, James “Ike” Annis.

The family has chosen cremation.

Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation from noon to 2 p.m.. Saturday at Charlestown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Jehovah’s Witnesses, Box 12421 Hwy. 62, Charlestown, In . 47111.
