NEWS AND TRIBUNE LETTERS — For Aug. 28

— To The Clarksville Community

American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) had the opportunity to bring the AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall to Clarksville in conjunction with the Indiana Salute To Veterans event. We’d like to take the opportunity thank everyone involved with making this event a reality and to the community itself for welcoming our organization and this patriotic and educational event into Clarksville.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone with the Indiana Salute To Veterans for their hard work and dedication to ensuring a successful event! To Chuck Adams and Greg Alexander, thank you for serving as the main planning contacts during the planning stages for this event. We would also like to thank the folks with Veterans Parkway for providing a beautiful venue again this year for the Traveling Wall to be displayed.

This year’s event kicked off with an outstanding honor escort! What a tremendous salute to our fallen heroes! We’d like to thank CC Powersports for serving as the staging location and to all the riders that took time to participate in the ride!

We would like to thank everyone that participated in the various events and ceremonies on-site during the Salute To Veterans event. We would also like to thank all event volunteers to include setup/teardown crews, locator area volunteers and security along with all others that made the event possible. A thank you also goes out to the Fairfield Inn in Jefferson, IN for providing lodging for the AVTT staff during the event.

To the entire Clarksville community – thank you for welcome the Traveling Wall into town and for understanding and appreciating the true cost of freedom.

We very much look forward to returning to Clarksville in the future.
