JEFFERSONVILLE — A man is in custody after pointing a shotgun at the Clark County Government Building from a truck parked in a lot across from the building, according to law enforcement officials and eye witnesses.

The gunman has been identified as Henry Campbell, 63, Sellersburg.

Officers from the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and the Jeffersonville Police Department responded to the scene and surrounded Campbell, who was parked in a black pickup truck in a parking lot along Watt Street, across from the courthouse.

Campbell was “yelling and talking loudly to himself,” law enforcement reported.

The building was briefly on lockdown and employees in offices facing the parking lot were instructed to stay away from windows, said County Attorney Jake Elder.
