Two people were arrested in Sellersburg Friday after a Clark County sheriff’s deputy found more than 10 grams of cocaine in one of the suspect’s vehicle.
Juan Davis, 51, Louisville, and Kalania Skeens, 22, Charlestown, were pulled over in the Sunoco gas station on Ind. 311 in Sellersburg following a suspicious vehicle call, according to a police report.
The deputy searched the Lincoln Navigator and found two plastic bags, one with approximately 4 1/2 grams of a white powder substance and the other with nearly 6 grams of a white rock substance, which both test positive for cocaine.
He also found a bag of marijuana, a syringe and a burned spoon both with residue and $883 in cash.
Davis told the deputy he was headed to Louisville and had just picked up Skeens from the Hawthorn Glenn subdivision in Charlestown.
Skeens was passed out in the back seat and admitted to injecting cocaine that day after the officer woke her up.
Davis was charged with several felonies including possession, dealing and manufacturing cocaine. Skeens was charged with possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a syringe.
