Clarksville Town Court judge arrested in Louisville

Mickey Weber faces preliminary charges of drunken driving, criminal mischief

LOUISVILLE — Clarksville Town Court Judge Mickey Kevin Weber was arrested for drunken driving after he struck two parked cars and a fence early Thursday, the Louisville Metro Police Department reported.

Weber, 32, North Taggart Avenue in Clarksville, was arrested after LMPD was dispatched to a injury accident near Lexington Road and Hamilton Avenue about 12:45 a.m. Thursday morning, according to Louisville Metro Corrections spokesman Maj. William Ashby.

Weber’s arrest time was 1:50 a.m., according to the police report.

The report shows Weber was driving a Ford F-150 at the time of the crash.

He was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital where he refused to sign an implied consent form and to provide blood and urine samples to determine his alleged level of intoxication, Ashby said. The report continues that Weber was “noncooperative” and was found with “glassy eyes and slurred speech.”

Police reported, “[Weber] stated he had ‘too many’ beers from Headliners ... ”

Headliners Music Hall is a bar and music venue located along Lexington Road in Louisville about one half mile from where the crash occurred.

More than $1,000 of damage was caused from Weber striking two parked cars and a fence, Ashby said.

Weber has been preliminarily charged with three misdemeanors: first-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and failure of owner to maintain required insurance, Ashby said. He said Weber was released from Louisville Metro Corrections hours after his arrest after a $500 bond payment was made.

Weber is expected to appear for a hearing in a Jefferson County district court Jan. 21.

An attempt to reach Weber Friday afternoon was unsuccessful. As judge of the town court, one of Weber’s regular duties is to hear OWI cases.
