Police investigating shots fired in New Albany

NEW ALBANY — The New Albany Police Department is investigating shots that were fired Friday afternoon in the 700 block of East 11th Street.

New Albany Police Chief Sherri Knight confirmed incident, but said that no one was injured. She said while officers have talked to some individuals, no arrests have been made as of press time Friday.

“We are still looking into it,” she said.

Several police officers were seen searching around the S. Ellen Jones Elementary School parking lot Friday for clues.
