NEW ALBANY — The Floyd County Metro SWAT team made a return trip to a Greenaway Place home around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday after neighbors reported hearing shots fired.

William J. Saleh, 28, who lives in the 1100 block of Greenaway, was arrested Friday after police said he fired multiple shots in his home while his girlfriend and 1-year-old child were inside. SWAT had the perimeter of the home blocked off around three hours Friday before arresting Saleh, who was charged with criminal recklessness, a class D felony.

Neighbors told officers Tuesday they suspected the shots came from Saleh’s house again, Whitlow said. However, when officers made contact with a person inside the home, Saleh, who is out on bond, was not there. He was apparently at work, Whitlow said.

SWAT members left the area around 11:30 p.m.

“We never confirmed that actual shots were fired in the area. It could have been a firecracker,” Whitlow said.

No arrests were made.
