IUS reschedules commencement

Five smaller ceremonies take place next week

NEW ALBANY — After a weather cancellation on Monday, Indiana University Southeast has rescheduled commencement ceremonies for next week.

From May 19 to May 23, five ceremonies for the university’s seven schools are scheduled for the Stem Concert Hall in the Paul W. Ogle Center in Knobview Hall. Graduates are asked to arrive at 5 p.m., line up at 6 p.m. and ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m. on each day.

Graduates are asked to bring their caps, which they were allowed to keep after Monday’s cancellation, and staff will fit them with a gown before the ceremonies.

Seating is granted on a first-come first-serve basis. Should the concert hall reach maximum capacity, overflow seating is available with a live video feed of the ceremony in the Robinson Theater in the same building.

Following the ceremonies, graduates and their families are invited to stay for a reception in the Ogle Lobby.
