St. Mary of the Knobs gets new principal

Tracy Jansen will begin July 1

FLOYDS KNOBS — St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic School announced that its new principal has been appointed for the 2014-15 school year.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2002, a master’s from IU Southeast in 2005, and +30 Hours in 2008, completing the Educational Leadership Program.

She has taught elementary education for 12 years, teaching grades two through six. The majority of her teaching career has been spent at Floyds Knobs Elementary working with high-ability students.

“SMK is a very special place. I feel blessed and thrilled with the opportunity to work with the students, staff, and families of SMKCS and can’t wait to get started,” she said in a news release.
