Curtain call: Three big shows hit the stage at area high schools this weekend

JHS to be judged by international group

‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’

New Albany High School’s classic production includes a full orchestra and flying effects.

The story follows Roald Dahl’s classic, with Charlie Bucket winning one of five golden tickets to tour the factory while obeying Wonka’s rules.

The show runs tonight at 7:30 p.m. with four more performances between Saturday and Sunday.

‘High School Musical’

Taking the blockbuster movie to the stage is what Silver Creek High School plans to do with Disney’s “High School Musical” this weekend.

The Wildcats, the jocks and other cliques from the big-screen favorite will clash and come together starting tonight.

The show opens at 7:30 p.m. with tickets available at the doors.
