Charlestown students are ready to rock

CHARLESTOWN — Students of Charlestown High School rehearsed their production of “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” which they will be performing at 7 p.m. today and Saturday, March 14-15, and also 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16. Audiences will be invited to wake up with Tori, who is preparing to start her first day of teaching. She tries to relax by watching TV and is joined by an ensemble that helps give her confidence through songs such as “Conjunction Junction,” “I’m Just A Bill,” and “The Great American Melting Pot.” The show has a cast and crew of approximately 25 kindergarten through grade 12 students from Jonathan Jennings, Pleasant Ridge, Charlestown Middle, and Charlestown High. Directed by Dawn Jenkins, the cast is lead by three seniors who will take their final bow on the CHS stage. Technical director is Crit Fisher. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain. Tickets are $5 for students, $6 for senior citizens and $8 for adults. All seating is reserved seating, so call to reserve seats.
