Borden holding upcoming kindergarten events

Registration will be Tuesday

BORDEN — Borden Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration Tuesday, April 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Registration will take place in the gymnasium at Borden Elementary School, 301 West St. Parents should enter the school through the front office and receive a visitor’s pass.

Students must turn 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 to be eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Parents should bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency to registration. Kindergarten at Borden Elementary School is fully funded and is full day — from 8 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.

CAMP KINDERGARTEN

Communities in Schools will host Camp Kindergarten at Borden Elementary School at 6 p.m. May 16 in the Borden High School Group Presentation Room.

Children and parents will have the opportunity to meet the kindergarten teachers and hear a presentation about what to expect in kindergarten. Kids will also get the chance to ride a school bus. For more information, call 812-967-2548.
