NEW ALBANY —
A limited number of tickets remain available for the Indiana University Southeast 2013 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner.
The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, at Horseshoe Southern Indiana in Elizabeth. The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m.
The annual dinner honors outstanding students and community leaders, and serves as a fundraiser. The Medallion Dinner recognizes two outstanding community leaders with the Chancellor’s Medallion.
Former Clark County judge Clementine “Tiny” Barthold and William “Bill” Ryall, retired Army colonel and longtime IU Southeast tennis coach, are this year’s recipients. IU Southeast seniors Cassidy Gedling, Chelsey Lloyd, Bethany Nungester, and Kyle Sweetland are the 2013 recipients of the Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship.
The Chancellor’s Medallion is the highest honor presented by the Chancellor of Indiana University Southeast. It is given to individuals who are rendering distinguished service to the university and to the community, freely giving their talents in the promotion of human welfare and community well-being, and – through their integrity, leadership, and commitment – serving as models for students and alumni of IU Southeast.
Proceeds from the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner go to the Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship program. The scholarships recognize students for participation and leadership in academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community volunteerism.
Tickets to the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner are $100 per person. Corporate table sponsorships are available. For ticket information contact the IU Southeast Office of Development at 812-941-2464.
