Ivy Tech celebrating 50th anniversary with Spring Fling on Tuesday

SELLERSBURG — To celebrate the institution’s 50th anniversary, Ivy Tech Community College will open the party to the community Tuesday, April 16.

Ivy Tech’s Spring Fling will host its Spring Fling from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the Schleicher Family Quad. A free cookout, music, prizes, games and activities for children are scheduled.

Rita Hudson Shourds, chancellor of the Sellersburg campus, said inviting the community is important because they’re a big part of the school’s success.

“We wouldn’t be where we are today without our friends and neighbors, and we want the entire community to be a part of our 50th anniversary celebration,” Hudson Shourds said in a release.
