• William Barber (Spalding men’s basketball, Sr.) — top performance: 12 points, shooting 4-of-12 from the floor, 1-of-3 from 3-point range and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line, and three rebounds in the Golden Eagles’ 68-66 home win over Fontbonne on Saturday; notes: Barber was named the SLIAC Player of the Week on Monday; team records: 5-5 overall, 3-0 SLIAC.

• Kamaren Cole (Danville Area Community College women’s basketball, So.) — weekly stats: 7.5 points per game, 7-24 field goals, 1-10 3-pointers; top performance: 10 points, shooting 5-of-17 from the field and 0-of-6 from 3-point range, in the Jaguars’ 74-48 win in the Lake Land Classic on Dec. 30; team record: 11-5.
