IU Southeast's Batliner has big week at plate



• Chip Hockenbury (Hanover baseball, Jr.) — notes: no-decision relief outing in the Panthers’ 4-1 home win over Wilmington (Ohio) on Saturday in Game 1 of a doubleheader, one inning pitched, no runs allowed, one hit, one walk, no strikeouts; team record: 7-6; Hockenbury’s record: 0-0.


• Brooke Conder (Spalding softball, Jeffersonville native, Louisville Presentation Academy graduate, Jr.) — weekly stats: 1-for-4; notes: 1-for-3 in the Golden Eagles’ 5-4 loss to Glenville State last Thursday at the National Collegiate Sports Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; team record: 6-3.

• Jaime Leon (Thomas More men’s track, Jeff native, Louisville Trinity graduate, Fr.) — notes: 43rd in the 800 at the Early Bird Relays on Saturday in Cincinnati, 2:35.83.
