Endris pitches, hits Pioneers past Scottsburg: Meredith Endris threw four innings, striking out four Warriorettes, and had a double as Providence beat Scottsburg 10-1.

Morgan Boone went 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI for the Pioneers.

NEXT: Providence (2-1) at Southern (Ky.) Spring Bash, tonight.

Morris, Robertson lead New Wash to first win: Whitney Morris struck out eight and didn’t surrender a run, while Coari Robertson went 3 for 3 with a double and a triple as New Washington beat Southwestern 7-0 for its first win.

Morris surrendered just one hit and Brooke Shawe threw the final two innings and struck out two more Rebel batters.

NEXT: New Washington (1-4) hosts Henryville, Friday.

Rogers pitches Musketeers past Mitchell: Darcy Rogers threw a complete-game two-hitter and struck out 18 as Eastern defeated Mitchell 3-1 on Wednesday.

With the game tied 1-1, Samantha Montgomery’s RBI single plated Morgan Martin, who had doubled earlier in the inning, for the go-ahead run.

NEXT: Eastern (1-1) at Brownstown Central, tonight.

BOYS’ GOLF

Providence edges Bulldogs: Maxwell Hupp shot a match-best 37 as 13th-ranked Providence defeated New Albany 153-164 at Champions Pointe on Wednesday.

Teammate Mitch Allendar was one shot behind Hupp, followed by Cory Cahalan and Max Leist, who both shot 39s. Garrett Arnold led New Albany with a 39.

NEXT: New Albany hosts Silver Creek, tonight; Providence at Floyd Central Invitational, Saturday.
