COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Grenadiers' Swain named KIAC Pitcher of the Week

Zionsville native gave up only three hits last week

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Indiana University Southeast junior Jenna Swain was named the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week by KIAC officials Monday.

Swain gave up only three hits and struck out 10 over 7 1/3 innings last week.

She earned the save while striking out a pair of hitters in the Grenadiers’ 13-5 win over Midway College. The Zionsville native also earned the win after pitching six innings and striking out eight Brescia batters in an 8-0 victory.

Swain is 4-2 with three saves on the season. She has a 3.10 earned run average in 38 1/3 innings pitched.

Indian University Southeast is currently 21-5 overall and 11-1 in conference play. The Grenadiers will return to action on April 9 when they host Asbury University for a doubleheader.
