BROOKLYN, Mich. —
For the second consecutive ARCA Racing Series race, Will and Frank Kimmel finished in the top 10.
Sellersburg resident Will Kimmel placed sixth in Friday’s Corrigan Oil 200 at Michigan International Speedway, driving a Ford for Clarksville-based Kimmel Racing. He qualified 10th.
Clarksville native Frank Kimmel, Will’s uncle, placed right behind his nephew in seventh in his No. 44 Toyota. Kimmel started the race seventh.
In last Saturday’s ARCA race at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa. Will Kimmel ended up a season-high fourth and Frank Kimmel finished seventh.
Austin Theriault won Friday’s race, followed by Mason Mitchell, Justin Allison, John Wes Townley and Spencer Gallagher.
Former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Ken Schrader placed 11th. Henryville resident Darrell Basham finished 23rd. Chris Bailey, who drove the other Kimmel Racing entrant, wound up 24th.
ARCA’s next race will be next Saturday at Elko (Minn.) Speedway.
