Once again, wintry weather forces postponements

Providence-Crawford game to be made up Feb. 25; Seymour-Jeff girls rescheduled for Thursday


> SOUTHERN INDIANA — More wintry weather, more postponements on the area high school basketball schedule.

Tuesday’s early morning snow forced all of the basketball games on that night’s slate to be postponed.

Two boys’ contests were scheduled on Tuesday, which were Charlestown at New Albany and Class 2A No. 9 Crawford County at Class 2A No. 10 Providence.

Both games have been rescheduled. The Pioneers’ matchup with the Wolfpack will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Larkin Center. The Charlestown at New Albany game will be Saturday, with the junior varsity contest tipping off at 6:30 p.m. and the varsity starting at about 8 p.m.

Five girls’ games were called off. They are the following: Eastern at Austin, Henryville at Christian Academy, New Albany at Charlestown, New Washington at Brownstown Central, Seymour at Jeffersonville.

Three of those five contests have make-up dates. The Eastern at Austin game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 5. The Seymour at Jeffersonville game will be made up on Thursday. The New Albany at Charlestown contest will take place on Monday, with the JV beginning at 6.

The following is a list of area hoops games that have been rescheduled this season due to wintry weather:


• West Washington at Christian Academy, Saturday.

• Evansville Harrison at New Albany, Tuesday.

• Providence at Madison, Feb. 15.

• Evansville Bosse at Jeffersonville, Feb. 15.

• Silver Creek at Clarksville, Feb. 15.

• Floyd Central at Silver Creek, Feb. 22.

• Rock Creek at New Washington, Feb. 22.

• Brownstown Central at Silver Creek, Thursday.

• Clarksville at Corydon Central, Jan. 30.

• Crawford County at Providence, Feb. 25.

• Charlestown at New Albany, Saturday.


• Eastern at Austin, Feb. 5.

• Borden at Shoals, Jan. 30.

• Jeffersonville at Madison, Jan. 30.

• Crawford County at Clarksville, Feb. 1.

• Seymour at Jeffersonville, Thursday.

• New Albany at Charlestown, Monday.
