• Jordan Batliner (IU Southeast softball, Jr.) — weekly stats: 10-for-24, 10 RBIs, six runs scored, four doubles, three stolen bases, two home runs; top performance: 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, three RBIs and a run scored in the Grenadiers’ 3-0 victory at Berea on Saturday in Game 1 of a doubleheader; team records: 29-10 overall, 17-3 KIAC.

• Codie Hamsley (Louisville men’s track, Fr.) — top performance: fourth in the discus at the Border Battle last Saturday in Louisville, 171-0.

• Janice Heffernan (St. Mary’s women’s golf, Jr.) — top performance: second in the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association NCAA qualifying round on Wednesday in South Bend with a one-round score of 80, 8-over-par; notes: ninth at the Ohio Wesleyan Laura Bump Invitational last weekend in Ostrander, Ohio, with a two-round score of 162, 20-over-par (84 in the first round, 78 in the final); Heffernan was recently named St. Mary’s Athlete of the Week.
