• Chip Hockenbury (Hanover baseball, Sr.) — notes: losing pitcher in a starting role in the Panthers’ 8-2 home setback against Earlham last Saturday in the second game of a doubleheader, six innings pitched, seven runs allowed (three earned), 11 hits, one strikeout, one walk; team records: 8-16 overall, 4-10 HCAC; Hockenbury’s record: 1-2.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Brandy Orth Becker (Centre women’s track, New Albany native, Louisville Assumption graduate, Fr.) — top performance: sixth in the 400 relay at the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Invitational last Saturday, 50.13, school record; notes: fifth in the triple jump, 10.64 meters; 10th in the long jump, 5 meters.

• Brooke Conder (Spalding softball, Jeffersonville native, Louisville Presentation Academy graduate, Sr.) — weekly stats: 3-for-8, two runs scored, two RBIs; top performance: 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the Golden Eagles’ 5-4 home victory over Fontbonne on Thursday in Game 2 of a doubleheader; team records: 19-14 overall, 11-5 SLIAC.

• Jaime Leon (Thomas More men’s track, Jeffersonville native, Louisville Trinity graduate, So.) — notes: 18th in the 1,500 at the Anderson (Ind.) University Easter Invitational on Thursday, 5:07.82; 37th in the 1,500 at the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Invitational last Saturday, 5:03.97.
