H.S. ROUNDUP: Red Devils dominate Jeff Invitational

Highlander swimming, wrestling have successful weekend



• Highlanders second at Corydon:
Floyd Central finished second at Corydon Central’s Old Capitol Classic on Saturday, just five points behind champion Zionsville.

Terrence Kennedy, Tre Marler, John Meldrum, Chase Herron and Nick Ottersbach all won championships for the Highlanders. Ian Bagwell, Cory Troutman and Michael Kruer, who was unseeded, finished second. Lance Youtsey and Sean Brown — also unseeded — placed third and Brennan Banet was fourth in his weight class.

On Friday, the Highlanders defeated Charlestown 60-15. Tyler Crowl, Kennedy, Marler, Troutman, Kruer, Meldrum, Herron, Bagwell, Youtsey, Banet and Ottersbach all defeated their Pirate counterparts.

NEXT: Floyd Central at HHC championship, Saturday at Seymour.
