• Adam Togami (Wabash men’s track, New Albany graduate, So.) — top performance: fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Dr. Keeler Track and Field Meet on May 9 in Naperville, Ill., 9:10.99, season-best; notes: Togami is ranked 15th in NCAA Division III in the 3,000 steeplechase.



CHARLESTOWN

• Chris Braun (IU Southeast men’s tennis, Fr.) — notes: No. 2 doubles loss (8-3) in the Grenadiers’ 9-0 setback against Northwestern (Ohio) in the first round of the NAIA Men’s Tennis National Championship tournament on Tuesday in Mobile, Ala.; team records: 12-7 overall, 5-1 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

• Tyler Willinger (Calhoun Community College baseball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 2-for-8, one stolen base; top performance: 2-for-4 with a stolen base in the Warhawks’ 9-1 loss at Southern Union State Community College on May 9 in the first round of the Alabama Community College Conference Tournament; season-ending stats: .312 batting average, 27 runs scored, 17 RBIs, nine doubles, five stolen bases; team records: 23-30-1 overall, 12-15-1 ACCC.

• Jordan Batliner (IU Southeast softball, Jr.) — weekly stats: 3-for-12, one RBI, one double; top performance: 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the Grenadiers’ 5-4 victory in eight innings against Houston-Victoria in the first round of the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round tournament on Monday in Montgomery, Ala.; season-ending stats: .350 batting average, team-high seven home runs, team-high 40 RBIs, 28 runs scored, team-high 15 doubles, .613 slugging percentage; team records: 42-12 overall, 25-3 KIAC.

• Codie Hamsley (Louisville men’s track, Fr.) — notes: sixth in the discus at the Georgia Invitational last Saturday, 161-5.

• Alex Martin (IU Southeast men’s tennis, Fr.) — notes: No. 5 singles loss (6-1, 6-1) and No. 2 doubles setback (8-3) in the Grenadiers’ 9-0 loss against Northwestern (Ohio) in the opening round of the NAIA Men’s Tennis National Championship tournament on Tuesday in Mobile, Ala.; team records: 12-7 overall, 5-1 KIAC.

• Jacob Snodgrass (Olney Central baseball, Fr.) — season-ending stats: .296 batting average, 20 runs scored, 16 RBIs, six doubles; team records: 29-17 overall, 12-12 GRAC.

• Cody Sunderhaus (Rose-Hulman baseball, Fr.) — notes: Sunderhaus and the Engineers won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament with a 6-3 victory over host Manchester last Saturday, earning an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III tournament; Rose-Hulman has split its first two contests in the NCAA Division III Central Regional this week; the Engineers suffered a 4-2 loss to sixth-ranked St. Thomas (Minn.) in the first round on Wednesday in Moline, Ill.; on Thursday, they upset No. 1 Webster in an elimination game in the regional in 11 innings, 3-2; it was the first time in program history that Rose-Hulman has beaten the top-ranked team in the nation; team records: 27-17 overall, 16-9 HCAC.

• Patrick Elliott (Ball State men’s tennis, Jr.) — notes: Elliott did not finish both of his matches in the Cardinals’ 4-0 loss at Illinois in the first round of the NCAA tournament on May 9; in his No. 2 singles match, Elliott lost the first set, 6-1 and led 4-3 in the second set; in his No. 2 doubles match, Elliott and his partner Andrew Stutz lost the first set, 6-4; season-ending stats: 21-11 singles record, 21-10 doubles record; team records: 14-11 overall, 3-2 Mid-American Conference.

• Mark Meyer (Parkland baseball, Fr.) — notes: no-decision relief outing in the Cobras’ 7-1 home victory over Lincoln (Ill.) last Sunday in Game 1 of a doubleheader, one inning pitched, no runs allowed, no hits, two strikeouts, no walks; team records: 31-23 overall, 21-11 Mid-West Athletic Conference; Meyer’s record: 1-2.



NEW ALBANY

• Sean Godfrey (Ball State baseball, Sr.) — weekly stats: 3-for-15, five runs scored, three stolen bases, two RBIs, one home run; top performance: 2-for-6 with a homer, two runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base in the Cardinals’ 16-5 home victory over Kent State on May 9; notes: Godfrey and the Cardinals clinched the MAC regular-season championship and the MAC West Division title on Thursday with a 4-3 win at Northern Illinois; with the victory, Ball State clinched the top seed in next week’s MAC Tournament; Godfrey currently leads the MAC in hits (75), homers (nine) and total bases (121); he also ranks second in the MAC in RBIs (51), doubles (19) and slugging percentage (.553) and fourth in runs scored (46); team records: 36-16 overall, 20-4 MAC.

• Josh Rogers (Louisville baseball, Fr.) — notes: no-decision relief outing in the Cardinals’ 4-2 loss at Temple last Saturday, one inning pitched, no runs allowed, one hit, two strikeouts, no walks; Rogers and U of L clinched a share of the American Athletic Conference regular-season championship on Thursday with a 5-1 home win over Cincinnati; team records: 41-13 overall, 17-5 AAC; Rogers’ record: 1-2.

• Johnnie Guy (Southern Indiana men’s track, So.) — notes: Guy has earned U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association All-Midwest Region honors in both the 5,000 and 10,000.



PROVIDENCE

• Oliver Book (Cincinnati men’s track, Sr.) — notes: Book earned the men’s best teammate award at the Bearcats’ track and cross country awards banquet last Sunday.

• Jacqueline Hollkamp (DePauw women’s tennis, Fr.) — notes: Hollkamp and the Tigers bowed out of the NCAA Division III tournament with a 5-2 third-round loss to Washington (Mo.) last Saturday in St. Louis; season-ending stats: 2-1 singles record, 2-1 doubles record; team records: 19-5 overall, 3-0 North Coast Athletic Conference.



SILVER CREEK

• Brooke Barnett (IU Southeast softball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 0-for-5; notes: 0-for-1 in the Grenadiers’ 2-0 loss in 11 innings against Bryan (Tenn.) in the losers’ bracket of the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round tournament on Tuesday in Montgomery, Ala.; season-ending stats: .333 batting average,  20 runs scored, eight stolen bases, seven RBIs; team records: 42-12 overall, 25-3 KIAC.
