H.S. BOYS’ BASKETBALL: Four games postponed on Friday

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Four area boys’ basketball games got postponed on Friday night because of the winter weather that has inflicted Southern Indiana this week.

Those contests were Charlestown at Eastern, New Washington at Austin, Jennings County at Floyd Central and Clarksville at Scottsburg.

Out of those four games, only one does not have a make-up date set at this time, which is the Generals’ game at Scottsburg.

The Charlestown at Eastern has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 with the junior varsity game starting at noon. The New Washington at Austin contest will be played a week from Saturday, with the JV game tipping off at 6 p.m. Jennings County at Floyd Central has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, with the JV game beginning at 6 p.m.

One postponement on Saturday’s area high school schedule was made on Friday.

That was the New Albany versus Floyd Central boys’ and girls’ swimming meets at Highland Hills Middle School. The meets have been rescheduled for Tuesday at Highland Hills, starting at 6 p.m.

The following is a list of area basketball games that have been rescheduled this season due to wintry weather:


• West Washington at Christian Academy, tonight.

• Evansville Harrison at New Albany, Tuesday.

• Providence at Madison, Feb. 15.

• Evansville Bosse at Jeffersonville, Feb. 15.

• Silver Creek at Clarksville, Feb. 15.

• Floyd Central at Silver Creek, Feb. 22.

• Rock Creek at New Washington, Feb. 22.

• Brownstown Central at Silver Creek, Feb. 25.

• Clarksville at Corydon Central, Thursday.

• Crawford County at Providence, Feb. 25.

• Charlestown at New Albany, tonight.

• Charlestown at Eastern, Feb. 15.

• New Washington at Austin, next Saturday.

• Jennings County at Floyd Central, Feb. 25.


• Eastern at Austin, Feb. 5.

• Borden at Shoals, Thursday.

• Jeffersonville at Madison, Thursday.

• Crawford County at Clarksville, next Saturday.

• New Albany at Charlestown, Monday.

• Scottsburg at Eastern, Thursday.
