Borden had three double-figured scores and three more Braves scored at least five points in Saturday’s 62-38 win at Shoals.

Borden jumped out to an 18-5 lead after one quarter and a 37-17 halftime lead.

“Our kids played hard,” Borden coach Doc Nash said. “I thought we played really, really hard and we did a nice job of rebounding. We have to get a little more intelligent. That will get better with time.”

The Braves are back in action on Friday when they host rival Lanesville (1-1) in their Southern Athletic Conference opener.

“We’ve got a big test on Friday against Lanesville,” Nash said. “We’ll be ready to play. It will be a 32-minute war. I look for an exciting atmosphere.
