Batliner has another productive week for IUS softball

• Ashley Dickerson (Indiana State softball, So.) — weekly stats: 1-for-9, one RBI; notes: 1-for-3 with an RBI in the Sycamores’ 8-4 home victory over Evansville on Saturday in Game 2 of a doubleheader; team records: 16-34 overall, 5-19 Missouri Valley Conference.

• Katie Guernsey (St. Joseph’s women’s tennis, Jr.) — season-ending stats: 10-7 singles record, 10-6 doubles record; team records: 10-7 overall, 1-5 GLVC.

• Sarah Richey (Hanover softball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 0-for-7, one RBI; notes: 0-for-2 with an RBI in Hanover’s 9-1 loss on Saturday at Anderson in the second game of a doubleheader; team records: 13-19 overall, 8-8 HCAC.

• Sam Burke (IU Southeast baseball, Sr.) — weekly stats: 3-for-9, three RBIs, two runs scored; top performance: 2-for-3, two runs scored and two RBIs in the Grenadiers’ 21-1 home victory over Alice Lloyd last Thursday in the first round of the KIAC Tournament; season-ending stats: .198 batting average, 14 RBIs; team records: 27-27 overall, 12-7 KIAC.

• Shane Burke (IU Southeast men’s tennis, Fr.) — notes: No. 1 singles loss (6-0, 7-5) and No. 1 doubles setback (8-1) in the Grenadiers’ 5-1 home loss to Asbury last Friday in the KIAC Tournament semifinals; team records: 9-8 overall, 3-3 KIAC.

• Patrick Elliott (Ball State men’s tennis, So.) — notes: No. 5 singles win (6-0, 6-1) and No. 1 doubles loss (8-6) in the Cardinals’ 4-2 loss at Northern Illinois in the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals last Friday; season-ending stats: 20-10 singles record, 16-10 doubles record; team records: 16-8 overall, 5-0 MAC.

• Mitchell Mattingly (IU Southeast baseball, Sr.) — weekly stats: 6-for-17, four RBIs, two runs scored, one triple; top performance: 2-for-6 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs in the Grenadiers’ 21-1 home win last Thursday in the first round of the KIAC Tournament; notes: Mattingly has been named to this season’s All-KIAC team; season-ending stats: .329 batting average, two home runs, 24 RBIs; team records: 27-27 overall, 12-7 KIAC.
