• Hornets lose a heartbreaker:
Henryville led Saturday’s Hauser Invitational at the turn, but Morristown came from behind to edge the Hornets.

Morristown shot a tournament-best 363, one stroke ahead of Henryville.

“We’re improving, but that’s a tough loss,” Henryville coach Robin Embry said. “We struggled to close the round. We lost several strokes on the last few holes. Obviously, every stroke counts. One stroke better and we win by fifth-player tiebreaker. However, two weeks ago we were in the 380s and today we shot in the 360s. Hopefully we can continue that rate of improvement.”

Luke Davidson and Mitchell Fields tied for team-best honors with an 88, which was tied for fifth in the meet. Cameron Furnish finished the round in 92 strokes and Mason Edwards shot a 96 for the Hornets, who were the only team with five golfers under 100.
