(Continued)

CLARKSVILLE — GAMES TO WATCH — WEEKEND

GAME OF THE WEEKEND

BOYS — Jeffesronville at Providence

• Time/Date: 7:30 p.m. Saturday

• Records: Jeffersonville 9-2, Providence 10-0.

• Rankings: Jeffersonville, Class 4A No. 13; Providence, Class 2A No. 4.

• Last year: At Jeffersonville 55, Providence 44.

• Last 15 years: Jeffersonville 12-3.

• Analysis: I think Jeff gets it done in a tight one. A win by Providence could mean trouble for the rest of Class 2A.

• Greg’s Pick: Jeffersonville 61, Providence 58.

FRIDAY

BOYS — Corydon Central at Clarksville

• Time: 7:30 p.m.

• Records: Corydon Central 7-2 (2-0 MSC), Clarksville 7-3 (3-0).

• Rankings: Clarksville, Class 2A No. 6.

• Last year: Clarksville 74, at Corydon Central 57.

• Last 15 years: Corydon Central 10-5.

• Analysis: Clarksville has lost three of its last five, but that’s a schedule issue. Expect the Generals to rebound and have a strong second half of the season.

• Greg’s Pick: Clarksville 69, Corydon Central 62.

BOYS — Floyd Central at Jeffersonville

• Time: 7:30 p.m.

• Records: Floyd Central 2-9 (0-2 HHC), Jeffersonville 9-2 (3-0).

• Rankings: Jeffersonville, Class 4A No. 13.

• Last year: Jeffersonville 51, at Floyd Central 42.

• Last 15 years: Jeffersonville 22-1.

• Analysis: As dominant as Jeff has been in this series, the Highlanders have been able to keep most games close as of late. That will not be the case on Friday.

• Greg’s Pick: Jeffersonville 83, Floyd Central 44.

BOYS — Madison at New Albany

• Time: 7:30 p.m.

• Records: Madison 5-4 (0-3 HHC), New Albany 4-5 (2-2).

• Last year: New Albany 77, at Madison 51.

• Last 15 years: New Albany 13-2.

• Analysis: The Bulldogs could use a successful weekend.

• Greg’s Pick: New Albany 63, Madison 49.

BOYS — Borden at Austin

• Time: 7:30 p.m.

• Records: Borden 9-1, Austin 2-6.

• Rankings: Borden, Class A No. 3.

• Last year: At Borden 80, Austin 58.

• Last 15 years: Austin 10-5.

• Analysis: Coach Doc Nash hasn’t been happy with the Braves’ play the last couple of games. After Borden’s first loss of the season, Austin — where Nash spent time as an assistant coach — could be in big trouble.

• Greg’s Pick: Borden 81, Austin 58.

BOYS — Silver Creek at Brownstown Central

• Time: 7:30 p.m.

• Records: Silver Creek 3-8 (0-4 MSC), Brownstown Central 9-1 (3-0).

• Rankings: Brownstown Central, Class 3A No. 8.

• Last year: At Silver Creek 72, Brownstown Central 63 (regular season); Brownstown Central 52, Silver Creek 50 (sectional).

• Last 15 years: Brownstown Central 9-8.

• Analysis: The Dragons are out of the MSC race, but they could do Clarksville and Corydon a big favor with a second straight regular-season win over the Braves. After a win over Borden, it seems a tiny bit more likely.

• Greg’s Pick: Brownstown Central 70, Silver Creek 55.
