(Continued)

FORT WAYNE — 9-10 BASBALL

• New Albany will play Highland: Highland beat Bedford 16-5 in four innings to advance to tonight’s 7 p.m. state championship game against New Albany.

“We’ve only seen [Highland] a couple of times, but they’re a good ball club,” New Albany manager Josh Bivens said. “We’ll have to do what we’ve done all year long and we’ll be all right.”

New Albany is 4-0 in the tournament. Highland is 4-1 with its only loss coming 5-4 against Bedford earlier in the double-elimination tournament.
