SPORTS IN BRIEF: April 17, 2012


Silver Creek schedule changes

The Silver Creek High School athletic department has made the following changes to its athletics schedule:

• The Dragons’ varsity softball team will make up its postponed game from April 4 at New Albany on Thursday, April 19 at New Albany, starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be a junior varsity game between the two schools after the varsity game. The varsity-JV doubleheader replaces an originally-scheduled JV twinbill between the schools on the 19th.

• The Brownsburg varsity baseball round-robin last Saturday, involving Madison and Silver Creek, was postponed because of rain. The Dragons will make up their game with the Cubs as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 5 at Silver Creek. The doubleheader will begin at 11 a.m.

• The Silver Creek JV girls’ tennis team’s match on Thursday, April 19 at South Central has been canceled.
